Riverdale Season 4 Episode 3 might finally end the Coopers' problems with the Farm. This might also start the newer and darker plot of the series.
The episode titled, Dog Day Afternoon, is hinting that Betty might finally bring the rest of the Coopers back to Riverdale. Based on the synopsis, she, along with Charles, will "track down" Edgar Evernever and the Farm.
This only goes to show that Riverdale Season 4 is finally concluding the previous season's storyline about the Gargoyle King and the evil Farm of the Evernevers. As to how this will happen, fans and viewers will need to wait a few more days to witness Betty and Charles' plans.
Even so, it has been already hinted that a showdown between Betty and Edgar will be seen in the upcoming episode. The showdown will also involve a suicide bomber, which may play a huge part in the possible end of the Farm.
In Season 3, the show spent the better part of the installment building up the Farm. While, at first, it was depicted as a "sanctuary" for Polly and the twins, Betty somehow knows that something dark was going on within the vicinity of the Farm. Her suspicions grew further when her mother, Alice, along with some of her friends like Cheryl and Kevin joined the cult.
In the end, though, Alice revealed that she was just doing it to go undercover. However, Edgar and the rest of the "farmies" became defensive from Betty. As a result, everyone ended in their clutches.
According to Mirror UK, Riverdale's upcoming installment might be the foreshadowing of the Farm's ending. Aside from the notion that it's likely, the synopsis also hints that something new is coming to town.
While Betty and Charles try to resolve their problems, it has been revealed that Cheryl will learn a very dark secret from Nana Rose. Based on previous reports, Riverdale Season 4 is hinting that the focus will be back to the Blossoms. And with the preview of the upcoming episode, it fits the dynamic.
As to what this "dark secret" will be, fans are convinced that it will, again, involve Cheryl's twin brother, Jason. But given that he's out of the picture already, the revelation might take its spotlight on the long-hinted "chimera" identity of Cheryl.
On a lighter note, there will be a car wash fundraising activity as well in the episode. It will be spearheaded by Veronica, which means it will all be fun, colorful, and vibrant.
Riverdale Season 4 will continue to drop new episodes every Wednesday on The CW, and every Thursday on Netflix.
