Fans of Nancy Drew may have felt it by now that the entire season is like a huge Halloween saga but in the upcoming episode, it looks like it will be more Halloweeny than the first two episodes. The upcoming Nancy Drew Episode 3 will feature spirits, ghosts, and more.
On the brand new Episode 3, titled "The Curse of the Dark Storm," a nor' easter hits Horseshoe Bay. The Claw resident dishwasher Ace (Alex Saxon) warns everyone that the storm has been known to blow restless and vengeful spirits ashore.
The teaser for the episode shows the town being hammered by the storm while some supernatural things happen across town. Elsewhere, Nancy (Kennedy McMann) and Nick (Tunji Kasim) are braving the extreme weather and drive off to somewhere to get a clue that may help them solve Tiffany Hudson's murder.
In the sneak peek for Nancy Drew Episode 3, Nick can be heard saying they have to follow clues from the dead woman. He is also seen checking on an old clock while Nancy suspiciously watches his every move.
Meanwhile, Nancy has been dying to confront Nick about the secrets he has been keeping. She will finally do it in Episode 3. It looks like Nancy will ask Nick to help in their investigation on the death of Mrs. Hudson to get him to talk about his past.
Why did Nick serve time for manslaughter? Who did he kill and how Tiffany Hudson became an eye witness on Nick's case?
The teaser hinted that fans may get a glimpse of Nick's backstory. Nancy's boyfriend is seen clad in prison's orange jumpsuit with chains on both his hands and feet.
Meanwhile, the police have a new suspect in the murder of Tiffany Hudson. Detective Karen Hart (Alvina August) is seen telling Nancy that they have a new person of interest in the case. This means Nancy has another suspect to look into so she can clear her name in the suspects' list.
Could it be Nancy's dad, Attorney Carson Drew (Scott Wolf)? Both Nancy and Karen's faces look dead serious when they talk at The Claw. The awkward chat could be due to what happened at the Drew house in Episode 1 or it could be because the new suspect is someone close to them.
Nancy Drew airs every Wednesday at 9 p.m. on The CW. Episode 3 will be out on October 23.
