Neymar had stirred controversy last summer for supposedly wanting to get out of Parc des Princes and return to Camp Nou. The Brazilian striker now confirmed that indeed, he had planned to rejoin his former team but has since become settled with Paris Saint-Germain. He is a happy man at the moment.

It appeared the superstar has come to terms with reality, but just a few months back, Neymar said he was seeking happiness, which he added was the chief reason he wanted to head back and see it was at Barca.

Neymar thought a change of team will bring him a sense of contentment, and more so if he would be allowed to return to his old club.

"When you're not happy, whatever work you do, you try to leave, to work elsewhere to change jobs. That's what I wanted to do. I was trying to find happiness," FourFourTwo.com reported Neymar as saying.

When things did not go his way, Neymar had no choice but to embrace the situation, and he realized there is joy in doing things for his current club.

For one, it dawned on him that he's around with good people at PSG, which he now describes as "a good workplace ... [and] the vibe there has never stopped being cool."

"It's a very large squad, so you end up having special affinity with one, two or three ... The new people who arrived are fun, they are focused, they are good players," Neymar shared, and per the report by Yahoo Sports.

In the process, the striker has taken a liking on fellow PSG star Kylian Mbappe, who, according to Neymar, plays an amazing kind of football. But more importantly, he appreciates Mbappe's presence. He revealed his good connection with the Frenchman, on and off the pitch.

"I think this makes thing easier, for our game, for our team, because we always help each other, and this is reflected in our team, of course," Neymar said.

The Brazilian's admiration of his teammate was understandable, Bleacher Report said. When Neymar was forced out of action in the last season, it was Mbappe who stepped up and proved how prolific he could be when leading the team.

The report added that Mbappe flourished in Neymar's absence during the past season. Mbappe saw in action 29 Ligue 1 games and scored 33 goals, and there was no stopping the young striker.

In the coming weeks, Mbappe will again need to rise to the occasion as Neymar will not be back until the middle of November, no thanks to the new injury that hit the football superstar.

However, the Brazilian has made the commitment that when he gets back in form, the first thing on his to-do list is to win back the love of football fans in Paris.
