Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson have been rumored to be engaged after the "Slide Away" singer brought the Australian hunk as her plus one on her brother's wedding over the weekend. Additionally, Cyrus was also spotted wearing one of Simpson's rings that is engraved with his initials.
The couple had a great time at the wedding of Miley's brother, Braison Cyrus, to his fiancée, Stella McBride. The two exchanged vows in a simple outdoor ceremony in Nashville.
The Hannah Montana alum shared several pictures from the wedding, one of which is with Cody and her mother, Tish. Aside from the photos at the wedding, Miley Cyrus also shared some snaps of her and her new beau hanging out in her house in Nashville.
Cyrus bringing Simpson to a family wedding is not surprising considering that Cody has been spending time with the Cyruses lately. Last week, the couple posted several snaps of them while spending Halloween with the Cyruses. Cody Simpson also hinted, recently, about living together with his girlfriend when he shared Instagram Story of himself on "moving day."
Meanwhile, NW Magazine claimed Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson are now engaged and they are serious about following this through as many have already expressed doubts that they will eventually end up in the altar. According to the publication source, it was an impulsive move even for Cyrus considering her marriage with Liam Hemsworth hasn't been finalized.
Miley Cyrus announced her divorce from Hemsworth in August. Then, she got involved with Kaitlynn Carter but the romance ended in September. Miley began her latest relationship with Cody a few weeks later.
"Miley has convinced herself that she needs to be one step ahead of Liam and says moving on in a formal way is the only way forward for her," NW quoted a source as saying.
However, Gossip Cop set the record straight and said there is no truth about the rumored Miley-Cody engagement. The publication noted the sources from Cyrus' camp as saying that Miley just borrowed the ring of Cody that she was seen wearing recently.
The sources added that, if the "Wrecking Ball" singer is indeed engagedt to Simpson, Miley wouldn't hide it to the world. The two have been very open about their relationship. They regularly shared some PDA photos and videos on social media.
The sources also stressed that, if the ring indeed symbolizes the couple's engagement, Miley Cyrus wouldn't forget to wear it. Based on the singer's photos on Instagram, it can be noticed that she was not wearing the supposed engagement ring at her younger brother's wedding.
