BTS member Jungkook (real name Jeon Jeong-guk, 22) is under fire of criticism as he has posted a video game on his social media (SNS) right after causing a car accident. It is pointed out that posting such content on the day of the accident was disrespectful, even if he followed the legal procedure and a settlement with the victim was made.

The news of Jungkook's traffic accident was announced on November 4th as the Seoul Yongsan Police Station released their ongoing investigation on BTS Jungkook for violating the Road Traffic Law and the Traffic Accident Handling Special Act.

According to the Yongsan Police Station, Jungkook crashed into a taxi in violation of a signal while driving his Mercedes in Hannam-dong, Seoul, at the end of last month. Jungkook and taxi drivers had minor bruises and were reportedly treated in hospitals.

The police did not specify the exact time, but various media reports wrote the accident occurred around 4 am on October 31.

In the midst of this, an article was posted on a community that said, "The game video was uploaded to SNS on the day of Jungkook's traffic accident." The author attached two tweets that Jungkook posted on BTS's official Twitter around 4 pm on October 31st.

The first was a video of himself playing the game. 'Jekehei', which Jungkook wrote in the tweet, is a witty expression of his initials, 'JK'. Exactly 10 minutes later, he posted his Selfie as his second tweet.

Netizens are responding by saying, "Do you think it's okay to break a law and crash into someone's car?" "I got goosebumps because of the way he posted video game footage like nothing happened," "Is posting a game video his way of reflecting," and more.

Immediately after the news of the accident, the agency's Big Hit Entertainment stated, "Jungkook admitted that he violated the road traffic law immediately after the accident." The agency added, "According to the due process, the singer responded Police's questioning at the scene and completed a settlement with the victim."

However, since the signal violation is one of the 12 serious negligent traffic accidents, Jungkook is subject to possible criminal punishment and will be investigated further by the police.

An official from the Yongsan Police Station said, "If a taxi driver who is a victim submits his medical results, we will investigate Jungkook as a suspect. In case there is no human damage, the case will be closed."
