GOT7 and Wonder Girls' Yubin recently opened up about their close friendship which they developed as artists under JYP Entertainment.
During a recent guesting stint at SBS Power FM's Cultwo Show, JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom promoted their comeback album Call My Name, while Wonder Girls' Yubin promoted her solo comeback entitled Silent Movie, All Kpop reported.
During the interview, GOT7 members expressed their admiration for Yubin, with JB saying that her songs were always amazing. They said that they always looked up to Yubin as a senior and cherished their friendship with her. Members said that they considered Yubin as one of their closest celebrity friends.
Wonder Girls' Yubin reciprocated GOT7's feelings and said that apart from Wonder Girls and JYP CEO Jinyoung Park, she also considered the idol group members as her good friends.
GOT7 recently dropped its comeback album Call My Name with the title track,You Calling My Name, a song that was applauded by Aghases for its emotional and poignant message. The song was written by GOT7 leader JB. Fans also loved the strong choreography and the cool futuristic music video.
Call My Name quickly topped iTunes Top Albums chart in 28 countries when it was released last November 4. The album rose to the top of the chart in countries like Australia, Brazil, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, and Thailand, Soompi reported.
Meanwhile, You Calling My Name topped the iTunes' Top Songs chart in six countries including Chile, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines, where the group had the last stop of their Keep Spinning World Tour.
Apart from promotions and performances, GOT7 is expected to have very little free time in the last two months of the year. JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom recently kicked off music show performances at Mnet's M! Countdown for a comeback showcase of You Calling My Name.
GOT7 is also expected to perform at the prestigious 2019 Mnet Asia Music Awards or MAMA Awards which will happen on December 4, 2019, at the Nagoya Dome in Japan.
Because of its strong showing this year, GOT7 picked up nominations for Best Dance Choreography for Eclipse. The group will face tough competition against EXO (TEMPO), NU'EST (BET BET), MONSTA X (Alligator), BTS (Boy With Luv) and SEVENTEEN (Fear). GOT7 was also nominated for the Best Male Group category along with EXO, NCT 127, MONSTA X, BTS, and SEVENTEEN.
A new season of GOT7's reality show GOT7's Hand Carry also started airing new episodes for its new season last November 13.
