Prince Harry revealed his thoughts about Princess Diana and Meghan during his engagement interview in 2017. He said his mother would be "over the moon" about his wedding and that Princess Diana and Meghan "would've probably been best friends." He is certain that his mom is happy for him in the afterlife.
But the topic of whether Princess Diana, if she were alive, would love Meghan Markle or not was once again opened up in the discussion forum Quora. An anonymous commenter wrote a long and winded criticism about the Duchess of Sussex.
The commenter said that Princess Diana would likely not allow Meghan near her son because she only pretends to be kind. She has a history of treating people close to her "in an extraordinarily cruel way" by dropping them from her life.
The Quora participant also said that Meghan doesn't treat her family well because she is cold-hearted. She is the opposite of Princess Diana, who treated people with kindness, compassion, and respect.
However, another commenter in the discussion said that it's futile to speculate if Princess Diana would love or hate Meghan because they will never, ever meet. One participant also wrote that this is an impossible scenario. So, it's a waste of time to speculate.
A royal fan, however, wrote that Princess Diana would likely defend Meghan and Prince Harry for what they are going through with the negativity in the media. Lady Di would be fed up by the lies and the bullying and will likely be supportive of the lawsuits against the British tabloid press.
