Fans of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been waiting for quite some time now on when they will finally settle down. The long wait for the wedding, or at least an engagement announcement, made many to speculate that The Voice judges have already married. One of these rumors is about the alleged secret wedding in Nevada and the woods.
The alleged secret nuptial in Nevada first surfaced exactly a year ago when Globe claimed the couple eloped to Reno to get married. The outlet alleged that Shelton and Stefani had wanted a ceremony with just the two of them. The couple allegedly secured a marriage license and had a simple wedding in a hotel room, and it was officiated by a preacher.
Gossip Cop debunked the story when it first came out in November 2018. The site pointed out how the Globe story was fabricated as Miranda Lambert's ex-husband and Stefani are still unwed until now.
The site also pointed out that it is suspicious that Shelton and the No Doubt singer would choose to elope to have a simple wedding in a hotel room in Reno while they have been talking about the prospect of getting married as they've been together for four years now. The outlet added that the couple would certainly be proud to show off their wedding bands if there was a wedding in Nevada.
If not in a hotel room, it could be in the woods. Gossip Cop also recently debunked another report about Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's exchange vows in the woods. According to Life & Style, the couple had a double celebration last month: Gwen's 50th birthday and their wedding.
The outlet claimed the "God's Country" singer organized a camping trip for his girlfriend with the help of Stefani's family and friends. It turned out that it was a surprise wedding and Gwen is said to be in the "best moment of her life."
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton first met when they start to work together in The Voice Season 7 in 2014. A year later, Stefani announced she is dating the country singer.
A source told Page Six that fans of the couple should not expect an engagement announcement as the two have already known from the start that this relationship is for keeps. The insider said the couple is likely to skip the engagement stage and will do a wedding announcement instead.
"We're all expecting a wedding soon. I don't think there will be a big engagement, but they will have an intimate wedding - I would say within the year they'll be married," the source said.
