Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are still on their six-week break from royal duties, and the Sussex couple is reportedly extending their vacation. While no one knows yet when the royals will return, several reports confirmed that they would not spend this year's Christmas with Queen Elizabeth II at Sandringham.
As opposed to the previous Christmases, it was said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to spend Archie's first Christmas outside the estate. Based on recent reports, the family is revealed to spend the holiday with Amal and George Clooney in Italy.
According to several magazines and tabloids, the Clooneys have a total budget of $2 million for the celebration. There were so-called "insiders" as well who attested that George and Amal are planning to give Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, along with Archie, a "Christmas they'll never forget."
Aside from the general objective and budget of the celebration, the said insiders also revealed what Amal and George would prepare for the meal servings. It was shared that the evening dinner will be "full American-style" catered by a prominent Italian chef. A "vegan buffet" will also be available during the dinner as this is the main diet of the Clooneys, the insiders added.
For the drinks, it was further revealed that the Ocean's Eleven actor would "dust off" some of his finest vintage wines. Plus, there will also be private jets and speedboats for the activities.
While this may all seem viable, given how detailed the reports were, no confirmations were heard from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, as well as from Amal and George Clooney. Even so, the sources contended that this is one of George's tactics as he plans to run for the 2024 Presidential Election.
With the Sussex couple by his side, it will be good publicity for him. It will also show his "powerful posse" as the two royals are said to be his "crown jewels," the source explained.
However, these reports were called out by Gossip Cop. As it happens, the reputed publication exposed that none of these things are true.
In the recent scoop made by the said publication, it was revealed that there are no assurances yet where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be spending their Christmas. It was also noted that the statements released by the palace only informed that the Sussex couple, along with Archie, will not be in Sandringham during the holiday.
Accordingly, they may spend their Christmas in Frogmore Cottage or the United States with Doria Ragland. Whatever the case, though, one thing is certain: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will not be in Italy with the Clooneys to celebrate this year's Christmas.
