Outlander season 5 is already done with its filming and the series is set to arrive earlier next year. Now, the show teased fans on what viewers can expect in the upcoming installment by releasing official photos of the characters, which include Jamie, Claire, Bree, and Roger.
The official Twitter account of the series shared a photo of Jamie (Sam Heughan), Claire (Caitriona Balfe), Bree (Sophie Skelton), and Roger (Richard Rankin) at Fraser's Ridge. Jamie and Claire stood by the table, and the married couple looks quite stern.
Meanwhile, Bree and Roger stood behind them, and both of them look happy with themselves. Breed stood next to a fireplace, while Roger sported a new hairstyle and a freshly cut beard. The photo seemed to anticipate Thanksgiving, wherein families come together to eat, drink, and celebrate.
Another photo featured just Jamie and Claire, which is the most romantic photo of the two so far in Outlander season 5. Viewers demand more romantic scenes in the new installment, and the photo hints we'll be seeing some of it in the upcoming episodes.
The romantic connection of these two is strong and will continue in Outlander season 5. Their romance allows them to focus, and it's worth fighting for. They separated before but got back together -- proving that their romantic connection is indeed strong.
In a related report, there were previous speculations that Outlander season 5 will feature a wedding. During the New York Comic-Con, the cast confirmed that such an event would happen in the new season, with Maria Doyle Kennedy (as Jocasta) noting there's a wedding, and Heughan agreed.
The new installment used the materials from the next book, The Fiery Cross, which holds two surprise weddings. Some fans believe the wedding will be between Bree and Roger to legitimize their handfast ceremony in the previous season.
It also makes sense they want to make everything official since they have a child to raise now. Some photos also showed a sweet image of Jamie and Claire, and they look like proud parents in a ceremony. Other characters in attendance include Royal Gov. William Tryon (Tim Downie) and Lord John Grey (David Berry).
Bree and Roger, on the other hand, are both absent in the picture. However, that only likely hints they're indeed getting married. Also, Jamie and Claire look happy, which suggests they're proud of their daughter getting married.
Outlander season 5 will premiere on Sunday, Feb. 16, on Starz.
