After the grand unveiling of Tesla Cybertruck last week, Tesla Ceo Elon Musk hinted that a smaller version of the revolutionary pickup truck might be coming soon. Musk said this after some followers expressed that they would be interested in a more compact version of the highly talked about the vehicle that would be ideal for smaller residences and driveways. Tesla has not yet started the production of the Cybertruck, but it seems that fans have something to look forward to.
Tesla Cybertruck is something that the world has never seen before, and Elon Musk kept his promise that the pickup truck is like a vehicle from the movie "Blade Runner 2049." the unorthodox shape of the revolutionary truck earned mixed reactions from fans and critics. But, Musk's Twitter follower requested a smaller version of the Cybertruck down the road as he said that the current model might cover the entire street where he is residing.
Long term, it probably makes sense to build a smaller Cybertruck too — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) November 24, 2019
While Elon Musk did not directly say that Tesla releases a smaller model, he somehow implied it. He replied to his follower that it probably makes sense to build a smaller Tesla Cybertruck model. Other auto manufacturers have their share of success, releasing varying sizes of their trucks in several models but of the same body style.
Ford's most popular pickup truck line, the F-series, has achieved its status by releasing several models that share a similar body. The Ford F-150 is recognized as the most popular truck in the country, says JD Power. The Tesla Cybertruck shares almost identical dimensions with Ford F-150 and Dodge Ram 1500.
It might be beneficial for Tesla to develop a smaller version of the Tesla Cybertruck soon. So far, the truck is only available in one size, and its variants vary based on the number of engines. The massive cargo space that the Cybertruck offers is definitely a plus, but it could also be one of the reasons why truck owners would not want to buy the electric vehicle from Tesla.
Some truck owners have spaces enough for the standard-sized pickup truck and have no room for a massive truck like Cybertruck. The Twitter user who reached out to the Tesla CEO recognized that the Tesla Cybertruck would be a great vehicle to own. However, it may not be the most practical thing to purchase since he has no enough space for it.
