There is little doubt that people are already looking forward to seeing Robert Pattinson become the Caped Crusader in The Batman. However, it looks like the wait for the highly-anticipated DC film will be a little longer. A new report claims that production for the Matt Reeves movie could be delayed by a few months. Interestingly, the reason behind it has a lot to do with the Twilight star trying to bulk up for the superhero role.

Fans are aware that Robert Pattinson is already preparing for his new role as Bruce Wayne in the upcoming DC flick. The Lighthouse actor was previously photographed meeting with a trainer who specializes in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. However, it looks like the action scenes are not Pattinson's biggest problems. There are speculations that Warner Bros. is choosing to delay production on The Batman, so Pattinson has more time to get jacked for the movie.

The report comes from a video that claims Warner Bros. is trying to get Robert Pattinson to work out more so he could gain muscle mass. However, the reporter seems unconvinced that the Rover actor will even be able to bulk up in time for production to start.

"I think it's probably impossible for him to fully bulk up because he just has a slight build, but I think it's hilarious they are like, 'Maybe if we gave him a few more weeks, he might bulk up.' If he hasn't bulked up by now, he's not going to bulk up. Just accept you have skinny Batman and deal with it," the reporter said.

It's no secret that Robert Pattinson isn't the fittest actor in Hollywood right now. However, there is still a chance that he could get properly jacked with the right trainer. On the other hand, if he is unable to bulk up for the film, he wouldn't be the first slightly built Batman in history. Michael Keaton had portrayed a smaller, more elegant Bruce Wayne in Batman Returns, and it wouldn't be a surprise if this is the direction that Matt Reeves is planning for the new DC movie.

The Batman will also star Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, and John Turturro as Carmine Falcone. The film is currently in pre-production and is expected to premiere on June 25, 2021.
