Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is the latest celebrity to speak up and defend the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. The actor admitted he doesn't indulge in the lives of the royals but he feels terribly sorry for the former American TV star.

Radcliffe expressed his opinion in an interview with People Now. He agreed with the observation that the British media has been picking on Prince Harry's wife and because of this, he only has the utmost respect for the Duchess of Sussex.

The Harry Potter star said that Meghan must really love Prince Harry "to get involved in this crazy life." Radcliffe said that the kind of life they live is most likely insane so even if he's not a believer of the monarchy, he respects and empathize with the royal family.

It's not just Radcliffe who has thoughts about the scrutiny of the British tabloid press in the lives of the royals. The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby also said that Meghan is receiving undeserved abuse from the press.

The archbishop personally knows Meghan since he officiated her wedding to Prince Harry and baptised their son, Archie Harrison. Welby said that Meghan is a remarkable person with a "profound humanity and deep concern for people" that it's almost abusive how she's being maligned in the tabloids.

Welby said that it's like a life sentence for Meghan to marry a royal. He is certain that Prince Harry and Meghan will still be pursued by the press even if they decide to withdraw from public life.

The archbishop further said that Prince Harry and Meghan are actually quite brave for putting themselves out in the firing line of abuse and hate. He called on the public to stop the abuse even if people do not agree with the lives of the royals.

British supermodel Naomi Campbell also shared her thoughts about Prince Harry and Meghan's fight with the British tabloid press. In an interview with The Guardian, Campbell shared that she felt like congratulating the couple, especially Meghan, when she heard that they were suing a few news outlets.

The controversial model had her share of bad press. She knew that the press labeled her as a drama queen and reported on her "raging encounters" with her assistants. She also implied that the British tabloid press are biased against people of color so she's glad that Meghan is taking a legal action. Campbell, however, said that she has no plans of meeting the duchess in person.
