Despite her low-profile, it cannot be denied that Princess Anne is one of the most favorite royal family members. After she got involved in a viral video with Justin Trudeau and other world leaders and having her own talked-about clip for allegedly snubbing Donald and Melania Trump, she is now topping the royal popularity polls.

The Princess Royal has been making a noise these past few weeks. Her storyline in the TV series The Crown also earned her a new legion of fans. Her no-nonsense, can-do attitude has been loved by the many.

In fact, YouGov's poll, which held data from 6,531 respondents, deemed that Princess Anne is one of the most favorite royals in Britain, per Express. Following Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Kate Middleton, Prince William, and Prince Harry, she received 47 percent positive opinion ratings. Fans commended her being "hard-working, admirable, and a good role model." Only 17 percent gave her a negative rating, earning her the sixth rank on the poll.

Her popularity came after she was named as Britain's "hardest-working" royal. Last year, she managed to perform 518 royal engagements, which was more than what other royal family members did. Prince Charles only carried out 507 engagements, while Prince Edward had 463.

In fact, even the royal family sees her as an "integral cog in the royal machine." Hence, they are now planning to throw her a lavish 70th birthday party.

"She's in her 70th year but in remarkably good shape mentally and physically, so there is no sign of her slowing down," royal expert and Majesty magazine editor Joe Little told The Telegraph. A documentary about Princess Anne's role in the royal family is also reportedly coming next year, showing the importance of her part in the monarchy.

Although it comes as a surprise that Queen Elizabeth allows Princess Anne to have a documentary about her life, the Queen thinks that the "recognition is due" for all of her daughter's hard work for the realm in the past 50 years. Another royal author Phil Dampier revealed that Anne is now much closer to her mother than before.

For a long time, Princess Anne has been closed to her father because they have a similar attitude. Now, Queen Elizabeth has been more reliant on her only daughter after Prince Andrew faces scandal over his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.

Compared to her younger brother, Princess Anne is "extremely discreet." It is also unlikely that she will create any "faux pas." Hence, Queen Elizabeth reportedly feels she's in safer hands with her daughter.
