Better Call Saul season 5 is arriving on AMC earlier next year, but there are still a few details about the upcoming installment. The official full trailer hasn't yet released, but the show has been sharing some clips on what to expect in the new season.

For instance, a clip recently shared on social media teased that Cinnabon in back in business. The official Twitter account of the series shared a 15-second clip, hinting that Gene Takovic's famous Cinnabon is back in business in Better Call Saul season 5.

The teaser featured a mall opening up, which is likely similar to where Jimmy McGill is working at after his days of being Saul Goodman. Most fans speculated that the teaser hints something may change in Better Call Saul season 5, especially with Gene.

Viewers wondered what happened to this character since, in the previous installment, he was taken to the hospital due to a severe panic attack. Gene is an interesting character since he's actually another aspect of the main character: Jimmy McGill.

His struggles at the hospital provided insight into the character and also foreshadowed that Jimmy is starting to fall apart. According to Bob Odenkirk, who plays Jimmy/Saul/Gene, the experiences of Gene indicate the character is under a lot of pressure.

Odenkirk added that Gene couldn't stand it and he's "cracking." The actor also admitted that he's clueless about Gene's future in Better Call Saul season 5. Right now, however, there's no proof that Gene could really redeem Saul.

In a report via The Wrap, Odenkirk said: "they intend to take that character somewhere and land it." Although he doesn't know the plan for Gene as of the moment, he believes that it will explore all three forms of the same character he's played since Breaking Bad season 2.

Meanwhile, series co-creator Peter Gould shared his thoughts about Gene. He said the character is very enigmatic and opposite of Saul since he doesn't usually talk and he's afraid. Yet, he's also fascinated by the situation and question of: if there's a chance for redemption after all the bad things he's done.

As for what else is coming in the new season, another teaser featured Saul Goodman's business card while a felon in handcuff is holding it. Some photos also showed Jimmy arguing his first case and collaborating with Huell and Nacho.

Better Call Saul season 5 will premiere on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 10 PM Eastern Time on AMC. After the premiere episode, the new installment will on Monday, Feb. 24 at 9 PM and this would be the weekly schedule and regular timeslot throughout the season.
