AMC finally announced the official release date of Better Call Saul season 5, and the network unveiled the teaser as well. The filming of the latest installment recently wrapped up, but the network hasn't revealed the premiere date, with many expecting it to come out at some point in 2020. But, now, AMC announced the official arrival of the series, along with a teaser and some photos.

AMC confirmed Better Call Saul season 5 will air on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 10 PM Eastern Time. The premiere episode will be following the latest episode of The Walking Dead, which is a good opportunity to take advantage of the ratings. After the premiere, the new season will start airing on Monday, Feb. 24 at 9 PM, and this will be the weekly schedule and regular timeslot for the entire season.

The teaser of Better Call Saul season 5 has been released as well, but it didn't provide any details as to where the story will go this time. The 15-second clip starts with Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman's (Bob Odenkirk) business card and a felon in handcuff is holding it. No other scenes were shown in the clip, aside from the official release date announcement.

Meanwhile, some recently released photos from Better Call Saul season 5 showed Jimmy is likely arguing his first case and will collaborate with Huell (Lavell Maurice Crawford) and Nacho (Michael Mando). Fans might be familiar with Huell since he has a long association working with Saul on the Breaking Bad era, so it's not surprising to see him in the spin-off.

Other photos showed Kim (Rhea Seehorn) is planning and assessing her next move, while Mike (Jonathan Banks) is holding a cup of coffee and seemingly hiding. Gus (Giancarlo Esposito), on the other hand, is likely plotting about something. Meanwhile, CarterMatt noted there might be a time jump at the start of Better Call Saul season 5 to allow Jimmy to build up his new identity.

Also, there are a lot of questions left in the season 4 finale, and co-creator Peter Gould previously teased to Entertainment Weekly that one of the questions in Better Call Saul season 5 is: Who is Saul Goodman to Kim Wexler? The previous season concluded in October 2018 and ended with a surprising twist, with Jimmy assuming the name of Saul when his law license was reinstated.
