The Flash season 6 episode 7 will arrive next week, with the title "The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Pt. 1". This is the first part of the two-episode midseason finale before the series goes for a holiday season break. Here's what we can expect in the upcoming episode.
The Flash season 6 episode 7 hints that there are a lot of difficult challenges waiting for Barry. He's going to find himself at the threshold of his impending death in Crisis on Infinite Earths. Dr. Ramsey Rosso, a.k.a. Bloodwork takes advantage of destructing the planet and infects The Flash with mysterious, hallucinogenic contagion.
Because of the infection, Barry questions his beliefs, as well as the works he has done before. In the new stills of The Flash season 6 episode 7 released by Spoiler TV, Barry is likely revisiting his dead mother, Nora Allen. Some photos showed the two were caught up in an intense moment, while other photos teased Barry and Joe West's emotional moments.
The two-part midseason finale will show how Barry handles the concept of mortality. While it's difficult to tell the specific timeline of death, The Flash needs to embrace and accept this concept because of his impending death in Crisis on Infinite Earths. Whatever happens to him within these episodes will still lead him to the crossover event.
The previous episode already teased Barry is preparing the team, particularly Ralph, for a world without him. The two go undercover for a secret mission, and during their journey, Ralph was the one who taught Barry an important lesson. This hints that he might be the potential leader of the Team Flash after Barry's death on Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Meanwhile, The Flash season 6 episode 7 will also see Barry's wife Iris, a reporter in Central City, discovers a vast conspiracy. The promo of next week's episode has been released as well, teasing Barry is, indeed, in trouble due to the infection caused by Bloodwork. He wants to take control of him, and it's up to Barry if he allows Bloodwork to do it or not. The promo also showed that the end of the world is almost near.
The Flash season 6 episode 7 will air on Tuesday, Nov. 26, on The CW. The episode is directed by Chad Lowe and written by Gabriel Garza and Jonathan Butler.
