Watchmen episode 6 will arrive later this week, with the title "This Extraordinary Being." The upcoming episode will see Angela/Sister Night reliving her grandfather's past as the drug that she possessed, Nostalgia, may hold a lot of answers, particularly with Will Reeves' identity, and his journey.
The promo of Watchmen episode 6 sees Angela (Regina King) exploring Will's (Louis Gossett Jr.), wherein everything unfolds in her mind. She's reliving her grandfather's life from the past, as that's how Nostalgia works to a person under its influence.
The drug is memories tied into the DNA of a person, once ingested, you'll start to relive the past of the DNA's owner. Based on the promo of Watchmen season 6, Angela took the pill and started reliving his grandfather's past.
Nostalgia has been banned over the past years, but Angela discovered it after Will made contact with her. He doesn't want his granddaughter to have direct access to information about him since it may affect his and Lady Trieu's (Hong Chau) plan in the future.
Yet, Will still handed the drug to Angela. So, he probably wants Sister Night to know something about his past. She initially gave the pills to Looking Glass/Wade Tillman (Tim Blake Nelson) and asked him to investigate the drug.
He soon discovered what the pill was, and returned the bottle to Angela and told her the truth. However, Looking Glass ended up betraying Sister Night in return for the truth about the giant squid attack. Angela told him the pill was from his grandfather, and Will was at Crawford's murder site.
FBI agent Laurie Blake (Jean Smart) showed up and pointed the gun at Sister Night, who was shocked by Looking Glass' betrayal. So, she ingested all the pills in the bottle to make sure she wouldn't fall into the FBI's hands, but the pills led her to relive his grandfather's memories.
The upcoming episode will reveal what memories Will chose to put in the pill. These memories may also influence the plotline of the series, as well as Angela's arc. The promo already hinted she saw fragments of his grandfather's past; when he became a cop and a husband.
Meanwhile, in another report, CarterMatt noted Watchmen is currently averaging just about 700,000 live viewers every week. These numbers aren't close to other hit series of HBO, likely because some are now watching it on DVR or HBO NOW. But despite its rating, many are still hoping the series will come back for another season.
Watchmen episode 6 will air on Sunday, Nov. 24, on HBO.
