Twenty Nineteen is about to end, and there are predictions that 2020 will be a year of adjustments for the royal family. Although it seems Queen Elizabeth II has no plans to abdicate the throne, a royal expert said that Kate Middleton, Prince William, Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry need to up their game to take in more work to support their grandmother.

Royal expert Omid Scobie said, via Express, that the younger royals would need to "put in a lot more work" as a big change might happen to the royal family next year. Another expert Victoria Arbiter added on the Heirpod podcast that Queen Elizabeth's age could be the reason as to why there would be more pressure on the younger generation of royals.

The coming year would carry a lot of business for everyone in the royal family after Prince Andrew withdrew from his royal duties. Although they only lost a member of the royal family into the roster, the workload would significantly increase for everyone.

Just last week, Kate Middleton already took over Queen Elizabeth's 65-year role as the patron of Family Action. She also assumed another 67-year role of Her Majesty as the patron of the Royal Photographic Society earlier this year.

Hence, the Duchess of Cambridge might have more work in 2020, along with other members of the royal family. Although it looks likes she already has a lot on her plate, aside from being a mother of three and a wife, she needs to take in more duties.

Scobie said that when Queen Elizabeth steps back, the younger royals have to step forward and take more works. On the other hand, Arbiter added that Kate Middleton needs to start fixing her schedule now as she offers her support to the monarch.

Business Times recently reported that 2020 would be a big year of adjustment, change, and adapting for Queen Elizabeth. Although Her Royal Highness will remain as the Queen of the monarchy, it will be the best time that the royal family should raise their game.

Despite the rumors that Queen Elizabeth may retire when she reaches the age of 95, she is not going anywhere. By the looks of it, she is gradually passing some of her royal duties to the heir of the throne, Prince Charles.

Royal author Kate Nicholl believes Queen Elizabeth is planning to hand over more royal duties to Prince Charles as she is now aging. Despite the age, it looks like she has no plans to retire when she said that being a queen is a "job for life."
