The Seoul Gyeonggi Sungnam District Police Office has finally released the result of Sulli's autopsy and found no evidence of foul play or drug use as the cause of death.
According to a report by Newsweek, the announcement of the autopsy came less than two months after Sulli was found dead in her home by her manager on October 14.
It can be recalled that the former f(x) member shocked the world with her sudden death at the age of 25. Fans immediately speculated that she took her own life after continued online abuse she suffered from malicious commenters who criticized her every move.
It was previously reported that Sulli also suffered from mental health issues as a result of public criticism and the pressures of her stardom. However, she continued to speak out about the issue of online bullying at the risk of her public image.
A month after her death, her good friend Goo Hara was also found dead in her home in Seoul at the age of 28. Police also ruled out foul play in the death and cited that their investigation yielded a handwritten note from the Kpop idol, bearing a pessimistic view on life.
Fans took to social media to share their final messages about Goo Hara and blamed her ex-boyfriend Choi Jong Bum for her suffering. It can be recalled that last year, the former couple were engaged in a legal battle after Choi Jong Bum threatened to release his intimate videos with his former girlfriend.
Hara's grief from the death of Sulli was also seen as a contributing factor to her depression.
Early this month, another death from a Kpop idol caught fans by surprise because of its proximity to the death of Sulli and Goo Hara. SURPRISE U member and drama actor Cha In Ha was also found dead in his home at the age of 27.
Very little was known about Cha In Ha's condition leading up to his death but friends said there was no indication that he was suffering from depression.
"We do not have any specific details to share regarding Cha In Ha's passing. We will not be performing an autopsy, per his family's wishes. No will or final message was discovered at his home. We do not have any information to give regarding his cause of death," the police statement about the actor's death indicated.
