Tesla aims to produce half a million Tesla Model Y and Tesla Model 3 cars each year in its latest Tesla Gigafactory 4 near Berlin. This is the latest factory that the electric vehicle maker recently announced. The report about yearly vehicle production was discovered on new documents by the German media.

In Nov., Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that Tesla would build the Gigafactory 4 in the 'Berlin area.' The whole project will be situated in an expansive 300-hectare land proximate to the GVZ Berlin-Ost Freienbrink industrial park. Tesla will build powertrains, batteries, and vehicles, commencing with Model Y at Gigafactory 4, said the Tesla CEO.

Germany's Bild and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspapers recently obtained plans for the Tesla Gigafactory 4. It reportedly reveals the company's plan of producing 500,000 units of tesla model 3 and Tesla Model Y at the Germany factory. Additionally, the recently obtained documents show that the electric vehicle maker is planning to invest up to €4 billion in Gigafactory 4.

When the Tesla Gigafactory 4 becomes totally ramped up, it could provide up to 10,000 jobs, reveal the documents. Just this summer, Musk disclosed that the Gigafactory 4 is expected to commence its construction within the next 12 to 18 months. The CEO also anticipates that the European Tesla factory will be operational by the end of 2021.

The expansive land that the electric vehicle maker will use for the Gigafactory 4 is situated in a forest. Early next year, the company is expected to commence deforestation. However, Tesla promises that it will plant three times the number of trees it will cut down at the site.

Tesla is getting close to reaching 500,000 cars in the Fremont factory and is anticipated to surpass the half a million mark this year. The projected production capacity of Gigafactory 4 is a decent estimation. Before, when Tesla said that it was planning to produce one million vehicles each year in 2020, it sounded ridiculous, but judging by the way things are turning out, it appears that it is likely to happen in 2021.

The ramp-up in Fremont Factory, an estimated 200,000 cars in Gigafactory 3 in China, as well as the commencement of production in Gigafactory 4 in Germany, the target of one million production capacity per year is most likely to happen in 2021. Meanwhile, the Gigafactory 3 in China is operational, and several reports claimed that there are several units of tesla vehicles seen coming out of the factory. However, at this point, Gigafactory 3 is still waiting for the certificate to sell from the Chinese government.
