For several days, the name Carlo Ancelotti pops up whenever the topic about the Arsenal head coach comes up. The 60 years old Italian coach is reportedly one of the names being considered to succeed Unai Emery at the Emirates. However, it appears that the Arsenal board is not interested in hiring Ancelotti for Emery's post because of these reasons.
In a recent report by ESPN, it reveals that sources have informed them that Arsenal is not considering former Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti as a serious candidate to lead the Gunners. At the moment, the 60 years old Italian professional football coach is a free agent after his exit at Napoli and is interested in returning to the Premier League. Everton is reported interested in hiring Ancelotti, but as per ESPN, the Gunners have a couple of major concerns about hiring the Italian coach.
The Gunners are reportedly concerned about Carlo Ancelotti's recent record, aside from the fact that his profile does not fit that of an Arsenal head coach. The 60 years old coach is regarded as one of the best coaches in the football world but, Arsenal is allegedly wary of his short spells at Napoli and Bayern Munich. He was exiled by Bayern Munich in his second season and left Napoli recently after several months of turmoil at the Italian team.
The Gunners are currently preparing to interview a list of coaches since Unai Emery left Emirates in November. Reports claim that Arsenal is not rushing in making any appointments and would like to take as much time as it needs. The club is prepared to give Freddie Ljungberg enough time to prove himself following the club's difficult start.
When asked about his reaction to the reports of Arsenal's interest on former Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti, Ljungberg said that he was trying to concentrate on the club's match in the Europa League. He added that whoever the club chooses is totally up to them and he stays out of it. Among the names that reportedly being considered to be the next head coach of Arsenal includes Mikel Arteta, Mauricio Pochettino, and Max Allegri.

There are ten applicants vying for the position that Unai Emery left, according to reports. Max Allegri has already been interviewed by the board but at the moment is still on sabbatical. Manchester City coach Mikel Arteta is reportedly the top contender. The former Arsenal player reportedly asked the Arsenal board about assurances before he decides.
