Kate Middleton couldn't help but recall how Prince William wooed her on Mary Berry's A Very Berry Christmas special. The Duchess of Cambridge revealed the skill that her husband used to impress her when they were still at the university.
The future queen consort surprised everyone when she said that the Duke of Cambridge knows how to cook. In fact, he is so good at it that he used it to win her heart, per Express.
Despite being surrounded by a lot of help for being the grandson of a queen and the second in line to the throne, Kate Middleton revealed that Prince William is a keen cook. His culinary skills helped him to pursue the woman he loved when they started dating at St Andrew's University.
"In university days, he used to cook all sorts of meals," Kate Middleton said. However, one of Prince William's specialties is his Bolognese sauce. She believed he was trying to impress her at the time for cooking sauces and things like that.
Although Kate Middleton does most of the cooking these days, Prince Williams still prepares a mean breakfast. He sometimes does their first meal in the day, and the mother-of-three admired him for being very good at it.
However, the shy future king quickly talked down his cooking skills when asked by Mary Berry herself. He humbly said that he could only make tea and not cooking. "Catherine is definitely the one who cooks, not me," he added.
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton also talked about her kids and their love for food. According to the Town and Country Magazine, the 37-year-old royal revealed that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis now love Italian cuisine. She even said that they recently made pizza, using Mary Berry's dough recipe.
With the revelation, Mary Berry got curious if Kate Middleton and Prince William do a bit of cooking with their kids. Kate answered the question, saying that she does, and she really enjoys it. This bond will not only make them creative, but it will also help them to try something new and be as independent as possible.
One of the last recipes that they cooked together was Mary Berry's pizza dough. They made pizzas with it, and they all loved it. Kate Middleton also revealed that they grow their own food by having their own vegetable garden at home. Prince Louis now loves beetroot, while Princess Charlotte is a fan of Charlotte potatoes.
