Jurgen Klopp has recently signed up to stay with Liverpool until 2024, and the German boss notably said the club would have stability over the course of his stay. Klopp has also set out to implement a plan that will see the English club winning titles in the next four to five years, and possibly lifting the Premier League trophy by the end of the season.
The team manager is bent on building up further a team he has molded into excellent shape since arriving in 2015. Most impressively, the German is doing his work laser-focused and blocking any possible distractions.
The Daily Star said that prior to agreeing with an extension, the Liverpool received lucrative offers from major European clubs, including Bayern Munich. Klopp, however, brushed aside a return to Bundesliga and decided that for the next half-decade, his world will be in the Premier League.
Then there is the speculation that Liverpool might be surprised by a move from Klopp to exit early from the club for an extended vacation. In relation to this, the name of Steven Gerrard, a Liverpool icon, surfaced as the likely replacement.
According to Mirror, Gerrard has been lined to take over at Anfield in case the current boss has a sudden change of heart. It's not clear, however, when he is getting the job. It is believed the club legend is being lined up in adherence to the stability that Klopp has been working hard to achieve.
It might be that Klopp will feel the need to walk away unscheduled, but the Reds will not be left in disarray. Gerrard will be ready to continue on what the German has started.
In all these, Klopp worked silently. He surprised the football world when his extension deal with Liverpool was announced. There was no buzz that a negotiation has been going on, but the quiet maneuverings by the German boss were not out of character.
It was evident anew with the latest confirmed hiring by the Reds, according to Bleacher Report. It has been confirmed that Red Bull Salzburg attacker Takumi Minamino will sign up with Liverpool at a relatively bargain acquisition price.
The hiring proved significant in the sense that the Japan international was also on the radar of Arsenal and Manchester United. But to thanks to Klopp and his staff operating on the background and minus the fanfare, the Reds have further beefed their lineup.
In addition, Liverpool confirmed that Peter Krawietz and Pep Lijnders, both serving as assistants to Klopp, will remain for five more years. This another affirmation on the theme cooked up by Klopp - stability that apparently he believes is a key factor to success.
