Kate Middleton is such a devoted mother to her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. So devoted is she that she has created a new tradition in their family, which the Duchess of Cambridge herself describes as "ridiculous."
During the TV special, A Berry Royal Christmas with culinary expert Mary Berry, Prince William's wife shared that she usually slaves in the kitchen late at night to bake birthday cakes for her sons and daughter. The Duchess of Cambridge said that she mixes "ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing" and loves how she can take this a bit too far since it's for her children.
Kate and Prince William's kids are six, four, and 19 months old, respectively. Just like their parents, the children enjoy being in the kitchen.
The Duchess also told Berry that her youngest son can say the word "Mary" and could recognize the celebrity cook by face. Kate's cooking books, which mostly consist of Berry's works, are at the lower section of her kitchen bookshelf so her children often see Berry's face, per BBC.
Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate were spotted driving their children to Buckingham Palace on Wednesday for a Christmas lunch with Queen Elizabeth. The Cambridges arrived in separate cars because their growing family couldn't fit in just one vehicle with the bodyguards and nanny in tow, according to royal expert Victoria Arbiter on Twitter.
Prince William drove the first car with Prince George sitting next to him and the bodyguard at back. Kate drove the other car with Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis and the nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo.
Little Prince Louis looked festive in his knitted sweater while Princess Charlotte wore Christmas red dress. Prince George, on the other hand, had a classic white button-down shirt with blue piping.
The Cambridges is also expected to be joining Queen Elizabeth in Sandringham on Christmas Day. According to People, Prince George and Princess Charlotte will be walking with the family to church for the first time this year.
The family also released their Christmas cards with a vintage theme. The adorable snap featured the children aboard a vintage motorbike with their father while Kate stood next to her husband holding the handlebars.
Prince Louis wore a denim jumper as he sat in front of his father, while Princess Charlotte in her blue dress stood at the sidecar, Prince George was on the back of her sister wearing a shirt and shorts.
