In a matter of days, Kate Middleton and Prince William, as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are expected to release their family Christmas cards. Fans of these royals cannot wait to see what the new holiday cards will feature.

Eager followers on Twitter posted messages begging Kensington Palace to finally show the latest Christmas cards featuring the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three kids -- Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Last Christmas, Kate and Prince William shared a family photo taking outdoors with Prince Louis sitting on his mother's lap while Princess Charlotte is to the center of the frame and Prince George is lingering at the back using his father's shoulder as support.

The year before that, the Cambridge family's Christmas card was missing Prince Louis since he was not born until spring of 2018. Kate, Prince William and their two children wore color-coordinated clothes in the shade of blue and the photo was taken inside a studio.

Royal fans of Kate and Prince William think that their latest Christmas card would come out after the airing of their Christmas special. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were guests of celebrity cook Mary Berry in A Berry Royal Christmas, which aired last Dec. 16. In 2018, the couple also released their family card around this time.

Meanwhile, E! News reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could be releasing their family Christmas card this week as well. Insiders said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex considered a selection of family photographs, which were taken with their son Archie Harrison. It might even possibly include Meghan's mom, Doria Ragland, which would be unprecedented for any royal family.

Grandparents aren't traditionally included in the royal family's Christmas card releases. According to the source, Meghan and Prince Harry want their Christmas card to show that Doria is "very much part of their family and of Archie's upbringing."

Meghan and Prince Harry have been staying in the United States since late November. They will be skipping this year's festivities at Sandringham, which is hosted by Queen Elizabeth.

A spokesperson for the palace said that the choice goes in line with previous members of the royal family who also skip the Queen's Christmas in Sandringham on certain years. In fact, Kate and Prince William were not at this event in 2012 because they spent it with the Middletons.
