Melanie Trump seems to have a very restricted world. But in reality, she is the most free person in the White House. Contrary to what her book seems to suggest, author and CNN correspondent Kate Bennett revealed Melania has the most freedom to say and do whatever she likes in President Donald Trump's administration.

In an interview with The Cut, Bennett explained that her book title, Free, Melania: The Unauthorized Biography, doesn't mean the First Lady is trapped in her marriage to President Donald Trump and asking to be rescued. Bennett said the title is just a play on the original hashtag "#FreeMelania."

The CNN reporter said for the past three years that she has been writing stories about Melania at the White House, she found out that the netizens perception of FLOTUS is not true. Bennet said Mrs. Trump can do whatever she pleases at the White House.

"She does whatever she wants, whether you agree with it or not. She doesn't really have a platform. She doesn't really do events. She doesn't have to campaign if she doesn't want to... She's literally probably the most free modern First Lady that we've seen," Bennet said.

In her book, Bennett also revealed that Melania has a very tight circle and she only confides secrets to a small number of people. She even called FLOTUS' East Wing office as "the White House's tightest ship."

Bennett suggests that there are things that she knew would become juicy pages of her book but she chose not to include these details because of the fact that Melania has a small circle of trusted friends and advisers. Bennet said the First Lady would immediately know who told her what if she would reveal a certain secret in her book.

When asked about the FLOTUS's reaction to her book, Bennet admitted that Melania is not happy with it because she thinks everybody is taking advantage of making money from selling her life story. Bennett, however, believes that Free Melania is a fair portrayal of the former model's life.

Melania's spokesperson Stephanie Grisham earlier released a statement about Bennett's book. Grisham said they were disappointed with the book because they worked with the author in good faith but she included false information and opinions from people who don't know the First Lady personally.
