Prince William's cheating scandal once again surfaced on Twitter on Christmas Day. It looked like the public remembered the Duke of Cambridge's alleged infidelity when he and his wife, Kate Middleton, did the traditional Christmas walk with their two eldest kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Earlier this year, there were rumors that the future king had an affair with Rose Hanbury, who was also the Duchess of Cambridge's alleged former friend. The news about the two then subsided, as the royal family allegedly tried to silence the reports to protect the reputation of the second in line to the throne.
So, netizens once again unearthed the rumors, with one Twitter user named @flaneurbear said that Prince William would come to Rose Hanbury's door for a kiss under the mistletoe. @EncourageMENow added that he strongly believed the prince had an affair with the Marchioness of Cholmondeley and the royal family knew it.
It might be the reason why he had a rift with his brother, Prince Harry, who didn't want to be around the "fake frosting." What happened might disgust Meghan Markle's husband, knowing that Prince William would be a king someday.
To add fuel to the fire, some claim that Kate Middleton's reaction to Prince William's sweet gesture on A Berry Royal Christmas might be a sign that their marriage was not fully healed yet. In the show, the royal couple was sitting in front of a fireplace when William tried to put his hand on Kate's shoulder. However, the future queen consort shrugged her hand off, so he had to take it away.
Some said that Kate Middleton was only adjusting her seat in time Prince Andrew put his hand on her shoulder. But, there were also some who claimed that she did it on purpose. According to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, the royal spokespeople explained that Kate did it purposely.
However, it was not because she was still bitter over her husband's alleged affair with Rose Hanbury, but she was firmly against PDA. As the future queen consort, she believed it was not appropriate to display affection in public.
Unlike Meghan Markle and Prince William, Kate Middleton wanted to keep the PDA to a minimum because of their future position in the monarchy. Anyhow, there was no evidence to prove Prince William's affair with Rose Hanbury.
Knowing how vicious British tabloids are, they may only be spreading rumors and allegations based on lies about Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Rose Hanbury. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle even bravely sued a British publication due to its false accusations against the Duchess of Sussex.
