Christmas cards are already part of the royal traditions. Every year, members of the Royal Family give out their respective cards, which include a photo and a signed greeting. For Meghan Markle, as well as, Prince Harry, who just got married in 2018, they have been following the said tradition since their official union. So, for this year, it served as the Sussex couple's second time to hand out royal Christmas cards to the public.
Amid all the struggles and hardships that they have faced, it is not surprising why several individuals, both critics and fans, are curious to see what the couple has prepared for their card. Fortunately, the card was immediately released on the Sussex Royal's Instagram account.
According to The Sun, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Christmas card for this year has been sending a lot of messages to everyone. Aside from the actual appearance of the card, royal experts also noted how the Sussex couple chose to publish e-cards instead of sending hard copies.
Speaking with the publication, Judi James shared that opting for e-cards only showed how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex value their advocacies and initiatives toward "climate change." Quite obviously, avid fans of the royal couple applauded them for this idea.
As for the photo that they included in the card, the royal analyst and body-language expert claimed that the duke and duchess seemingly "desired" to look "cool," like a "powerful A-list" couple. With their "non-formal" and unique poses, along with Archie Harrison in the middle, this gave the dynamic that their son is the "center" of their universe.
While many of their followers loved their output, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry still obtained a lot of criticisms after. As it happened, many netizens attested that the photo was obviously "photoshopped."
In a report made by Pop Culture, the netizens who called out the Sussex couple pointed out that the duchess' face appears to be very clear, just like Archie Harrison's. However, the duke's appearance seems "blurry." This made some individuals speculate that the family might not be together during this time.
Others also questioned Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as to why they decided to choose that specific photo. One even described the photo as a "photoshop failure."
But, despite all the negative comments shared by the netizens, it seemed like that the family is still enjoying their stay in Canada. It also remains unknown when they will return to the United Kingdom.
