Power season 6 is coming back on Starz later this week and there are a lot of things to expect when the series returns. In the finale of the first part, James "Ghost" St. Patrick was shot and there were several potential suspects as to who shot him. Now, a recently released teaser hinted Dre might be the one who pulled the trigger.

When Power season 6 returns, the series will explore Ghost's storyline and whether or not the character is still alive. In the latest clip, it highlights Dre's storyline and his possible motives for shooting Ghost. So far, he is the ultimate survivor among other characters; he's someone who could shift and evolve to almost any situation.

When Dre's about to die, he always finds a way to survive -- making him one of the strongest characters in the series. As for his motives to kill Ghost in Power season 6, it probably has something to do with his survival as Dre wants to see him gone rather than seeing him alive. He also wants to start a new chapter in his life and he could only do that if he'll close the door on Ghost.

But, did Dre really shot Ghost? That still remains a question, for now, considering that other characters want Ghost dead as well. For instance, there were speculations that his estranged wife Tasha was the one who pulled the trigger. In another video of Power season 6 hinted she has motives to kill him, as he's been pushing her to her limits and she's threatened he would ruin her.

Tasha might have had enough, which led her to shoot Ghost. In addition, she's one of the most potential suspects as it can be recalled she killed LaKeisha earlier this season. Furthermore, the clip hinted the Ghost and Tasha were in bad terms, and the latter confessed they had marriage problems ever since their daughter, Raina, died.

However, others believed everything was just an act and Ghost is just trying to fake his death. Some theories suggest the character hired a hitman and then pretended he was hurt. Ghost has been trying to escape for a while now and it's possible he wanted to have some break. He could only do that if he dies in the public eye.

A lot of people are after Ghost and want him dead, so he's probably trying to leave without causing further damage. We've already seen him doing that earlier this season, so he could actually do that again. Yet, all of these were just speculations and the real person who shot him -- or whether or not he's faking his death - will be revealed when the series comes back.

Power season 6 returns on Sunday, Jan. 5, on Starz.
