A Spanish game retailer lists Rockstar Games' popular Wild West-themed title "Red Dead Redemption 2" for the Nintendo Switch. The game listing pops up on Instant Gaming earlier today, and at the time of this publication, is still live. Unfortunately, the listing does not reveal any price or specific release date aside from a wide release window of a possible 2020 release.
The "Red Dead Redemption 2" listing comes with box art, which is almost similar to the box art of other Nintendo Switch titles. A "Red Dead Redemption 2" trailer and some screenshots are also in the listing. Unfortunately, these do not appear to be Nintendo Switch specific. It is worth mentioning that the game was also listed for Nintendo Switch by an Australian retailer in 2019.
Rockstar Games has not announced that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is releasing on the hybrid Japanese gaming console. Aside from these game listings, another clue leading some credence to the speculation that the game is coming to Nintendo Switch is an image of the Switch Pro Controller found in the code of the game. While this could mean that this is a support for the Pro Controller coming to the PC version of "Red Dead Redemption 2," you just cannot help but wonder.
Earlier speculations revealed that a new Nintendo Direct is on its way and a "Red Dead Redemption 2" releasing on Nintendo Switch would make a loud headline announcement. The idea of a game like "Red Dead Redemption 2" releasing on the Japanese hybrid gaming console is not at all insane. CD Projekt Red's "The Witcher 3" is already in the platform, which is a very playable version.
But, if "Red Dead Redemption 2" is arriving on Switch, we have to assume that it would make the same graphics quality sacrifices similar to what CDPR did to "The Witcher 3." The sequel to the popular Wild West-themed title is massive in size, which is a staggering 100 GB on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Rockstar Games recently launched the game on PC, and so far it has endured a tough release.
On Nov. 5, 2019, "Red Dead Redemption 2" was launched on Epic Game Store and arrived on Steam a month later. Both releases presented a lot of issues to PC gamers. At this point, there is no way to verify if these clues really point to "Red Dead Redemption 2" releasing on Nintendo Switch. But, if this pans out, it is great news to Nintendo Switch gamers.
