BTS has made it to CNN's List of Artists Who Transformed Music this Decade. They were the only Kpop group to enter the list that included Beyonce, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Metro Boomin, Solange, and Taylor Swift.

According to the post by CNN, BTS can be credited for the impact the group made in the US and other parts of the world. While Kpop has always been popular in Asia, the post cited that BTS brought attention to the thriving industry on a different level.

Apart from taking the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart with the 2018 hit album Love Yourself: Tear, three of the group's projects made it to the No. 1 of the Billboard 200 in a single year.

CNN credited RM, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook for creating a global phenomenon, especially in the US.

"The Wonder Girls, a now-defunct girl group, had a track called Nobody back in 2009, which entered the Hot 100 at No. 76. And in 2012, Psy's Gangnam Style even broke the top 10. But BTS has blown everyone out of the water," the report said.

As a result of the positive reviews from CNN, ARMYs have taken to social media to express their pride at BTS's accomplishment.

ARMYs said that they were so proud of what BTS has become over the years and wished them even more success in the future. Some fans even credited BTS for paving the way for the Kpop industry as they opened more doors of opportunity for other groups to penetrate the global market.

It was a big year for BTS locally and overseas. It can be recalled that they were the first artists to achieve an All Kill of all the Daesang Awards at the Mnet Asian Music Awards last December. They also swept the top awards at the 2019 Melon Music Awards including Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Record of the Year, and Artist of the Year.

BTS also swept all three categories that it was nominated for at the American Music Awards. RM, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook took home the prizes for best Social Artist, Best Duo or Rock Group, and Best Tour. BTS also bagged awards for Best Kpop and Best Group for the 2019 MTV Music Awards.

For the Teen Choice Awards, they won for the third straight year as Choice International Artist while ARMYs maintained its position as Choice Fandom for the second year in a row. BTS also added wins for Choice Collaboration and Choice Summer Tour.

RM, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook also bagged fresh wins in this year's Billboard Music Awards for Best Social Artist and Best Duo or Group.
