Even though 2019 has already passed, BTS' continued with its winning streak for last year's achievements as the group bagged two major awards at the 2019 KpopStarz Awards' annual list. BTS was declared as the World's Most Influential Singing Group while their single Boy with Luv received top honors as Global Annual Kpop song.
For the award, conducted by Chinese media outlet KpopStarz, BTS topped the list for World's Most Influential Singing Group in 2019, while the silver prize went to Super Junior. The bronze prize was given to EXO.
BTS' Boy with Luv collaboration with Halsey also took home the gold prize for Global Annual Kpop song. The silver prize for the category went to Super Junior for Super Clap. Henry Lau rounded out the Top 3 with his single, Don't Forget.
2019 was a big year for BTS as RM, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook made history both locally and internationally. Most recently, BTS made history at the 34th Golden Disc Awards when they received the Daesang for Both the Album and Digital Song of the Year. Map of the Soul: Persona was named Album of the Year, while Boy with Luv was named Song of the Year.
BTS also swept all four of the Daesang categories in the recently concluded 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards (2019 MAMA). RM, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook took home the grand prize for Album of the Year, Worldwide Icon of the Year, Song of the Year, and Artist of the Year in addition to five other wins including Best Male Group, Qoo10 Favorite Male Artist, Best Music Video, Best Dance Performance Male Group, and Worldwide Fans' Choice Top 10.
At the Melon Music Awards 2019, BTS was also the biggest winner when they won all the Daesangs for Best Record of the Year, Best Album of the Year with Map of the Soul: Persona, Best Song of the Year for Boy With Luv, and Best Artist of the Year.
On the international front, BTS also won for the three categories at the American Music Awards 2019, besting other international acts for best Social Artist, Best Duo or Rock Group, and Best Tour.
BTS, likewise, ruled for the Best Kpop and Best Group categories of the 2019 MTV Music Awards.
RM, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook also posted a three-peat victory for the Choice International Artist category of the Teen Choice Awards 2019, maintaining their hold on the position since they first won the award in 2017. ARMYs also marked their second year as Choice Fandom. Last year, BTS also added two more wins for Choice Collaboration and Choice Summer Tour.
RM, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook also bagged victories in this year's Billboard Music Awards for Best Social Artist and Best Duo or Group. BTS also debuted as presenters to last year's Grammy awards. ARMYs have expressed hope that they will earn their first official nomination in the 2020 Grammys.
Big Hit Entertainment has, recently, announced that BTS' Map of the Soul: 7 comeback album will be released on February 21, 2020, Teen Vogue reported.
