The Golden State Warriors need all the help they can get as they regroup and try to get their act back together. With Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry out, the 2019-20 NBA season seems good as lost for the six-time NBA champions.

One player that Steve Kerr may look into is Karl-Anthony Towns. The 24-year-old center is reportedly unhappy with the Minnesota Timberwolves, unhappy with its direction according to The Athletic citing league sources. However, Zach Harper also added that while losing is frustrating, there is no reason yet to believe that this will be a long-term issue.

Hence, most of the trade chatter involving Towns should be treated with a grain of salt for now. Any NBA team would benefit immensely from the top pick of the 2015 NBA Draft in tow. And for the sake of argument, any deal involving Towns will need to be massive.

For the Kings, offering something massive for the 6-foot-11 center right now may not be possible. They do have players like Eric Paschall, who they can offer. However, a package could need someone like Draymond Green or even Willie Cauley-Stein. The Dubs could throw in some future picks as well, although it will be interesting if the T-Wolves would be moved to at least consider the offer.

This NBA season, Towns has averaged 26.5 points, 11.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 23 games per Basketball-Reference.com. These are a notch up his career averages. Towns is currently in the sidelines with a knee sprain, and there is no word yet on when he can officially return.

Should the Dubs consider it, they need to find a way to do cover the money owed to two-time NBA All-Star. Towns is only in the first of his five-year of his $158 million deal that he signed with the T-Wolves. Hence, a suggested multiplayer trade involving Green, Paschall and first-round picks in 2020 and 2024 make no sense if not ridiculous.

Also, do take note that the whole frustrated Towns' story may be taken out of context. With the NBA trade deadline fast approaching, pundits are giving their own insights.

As for the Dubs, the best they can do is play out the season and plan for the future. Kerr plans to rest Green, and putting him on managed minutes makes sense. Thompson and Curry may best let their injuries heal properly and return the next NBA season with renewed intent.
