Red Velvet released the performance music video for their latest hit song "Psycho." Meanwhile, there were rumors that the SM Entertainment female group is set to release an English version of the track for an upcoming DC movie.

Red Velvet shared the performance MV of "Psycho" on Wednesday and it has garnered over 2.2 million views as of writing. In the video, members Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri were seen singing and dancing around the palace-esque settings. All were also wearing fashionable lacy and tussle dresses in combinations of black and white.

"Psycho" tells the story of a couple that fights so much that they appear crazy to others but in reality, they are meant for each other. It is the lead track of Red Velvet's The ReVe Festival: Finale album, which is also the last part of the ReVe Festival trilogy.

The latest album of the five-member K-pop group dropped on December 23. It includes 13 tracks from both The ReVe Festival: Day 1 and The ReVe Festival: Day 2, as well as three other new songs.

This week, Red Velvet achieved a double crown on Gaon weekly charts. The ReVe Festival: Finale topped the physical album chart while "Psycho" led the digital download chart.

The "Psycho" performance MV came after Wendy got hospitalized due to serious injuries she suffered from a fall during rehearsals for the group's performance at the recent 2019 SBS Gayo Daejun on Christmas Day. Wendy sustained injuries on her face and also fractured her right wrist and pelvis.

Wendy will be sitting out the Japan leg of their La Rouge concert tour as she continues to recover from her injuries. Red Velvet fans, also known as ReVeluv, are hoping that Wendy could return on stage with Irene, Seulgi, Joy, and Yeri before the Japan tour ends on March 8 at Yokohama Arena.

Meanwhile, rumors have it that the K-pop group will be releasing an English version of "Psycho" for the upcoming movie, Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). Red Velvet reportedly wrapped up recording the English version.

The song will allegedly be featured on the official soundtrack for the DC movie which stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Nothing has been confirmed as of yet but the movie is already scheduled for release on February 7, 2020. Birds of Prey is the follow-up spin-off to the 2016 DC film Suicide Squad.
