It certainly helps to have Kawhi Leonard and Paul George on the roster, and that is the case for the Los Angeles Clippers. Even before the start of the season, the Clippers have emerged as among the favorites to capture the NBA crown and with the way the team is playing, that bet is inching closer to become a fact.

Headlined by Leonard and George, the Clippers boast of having "the grittiest core groups in the NBA," and because Lou Williams, Montrezll Harell, and Patrick Beverley are always ready to do their share. Still, there remains the need to look for additional helping hands, possibly new recruits that will take up starting role with the Clippers superstar.

According to DraftKings Nation, LA's immediate needs right now is a full-time point guard and an aggressive power forward. The latter void is rumored to be filled up by a rising star from the New York Knicks - Marcus Morris.

Morris is both controversial and essential for the Knicks. The NY team has been making the headlines not only for Morris' basketball skills. He tends to have an uncontrolled passion that he was once ejected for hitting a player.

However, as the same report said, Morris is a big court contributor. He averages 19.1 points per game in the season and his towering presence at 6-9 with a natural image of roughness makes for unquestionable dominance inside the paint and under the board.

And there's more. Morris can connect from a distance with an accuracy of 46.9 percent from beyond the arc. There is no denying the NY big man is an asset that will do great with the title-chasing Clippers.

If the Clippers will decide to pursue Morris and other targeted talents, it will not be a difficult undertaking for them. That reason is LA is in a solid position to sit down with trade partners and persuade them to agree. The latter should be easy because the Clippers have the assets to attract interest, Heavy reported.

The team's convincing power will rest on what they have in stock, which for many NBA rivals is either in short supply or unavailable.

"They've got everything you want if you're looking to get assets back for players. They have a draft pick, they have expiring contracts they can give up, they have really good, interesting young players. They're in a great position to help themselves," the report said in quoting an unnamed NBA executive.

In case a trade partner will want to check what the Clippers can offer in terms of fresh blood, enter Terance Mann and Mfiondu Kabengele, who the same executive described as rookies and "NBA players," meaning they are able to deliver as expected.
