Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj seem to have taken their differences aside for one common goal and that is to prevent Jennifer Lopez from winning an Oscars. But, that is too far from the truth. The feud between Carey and Minaj continues and nothing seems to change that.

Mariah and Nicki still hate each other even though the Globe reported that the two are allegedly working together against JLo. The tabloid cited a source as saying the two are planning revenge on Lopez by spreading rumors that Alex Rodriguez's fiancé is an overrated actress and is a "two-faced backstabber."

The insider claimed both Carey and Minaj believed they had been passed over for a role in Lopez's hit movie, Hustlers. The former American Idol judges, allegedly, believe that the Maid in Manhattan actress stopped them from appearing in Hustlers.

The insider added that Carey has always been jealous of Lopez because she wasn't able to achieve the same success as the "On The Floor" singer on the big screen. As for Minaj, it was rumored that the rapper was not pleased when JLo sang "Anaconda" at the 2015 American Music Awards while she was watching in the audience.

Gossip Cop debunked the alleged connivance between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. The publication reached out to some people close to the situation who denied such a claim.

Gossip Cop also stressed that it is hard to believe that the "Without You" singer and the "Super Bass" rapper will join forces to bring down another singer when, in fact, they are enemies themselves. The two have a long-standing feud that dated back during their American Idol days.

Both Carey and Minaj served as judges in the reality TV show in 2013. It was clear, at the time, that they have different styles in judging the contestants. This often led to clashes on set.

It got worse when Carey said she heard from others that her fellow AI judge threatened her. In an interview with Barbara Walters in 2013, the singer admitted that she doesn't feel safe at the Simon Cowell's reality show after Minaj threatened to shoot her. The rapper, however, denied making such a comment.

But, then, she, allegedly, dissed Carey in her 2012 song "Hell Yeah." The song includes lines such as, "Shout out Mike Darnell and Nigel/Why these bums so mad that the queen on Idol, huh?" Many believed that the words "bums" and "queen" refer to Carey.
