It has been almost 12 years now since Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi tied the knot in Los Angeles. While the two only started to date several years after their first meeting, it was revealed that they felt the so-called "love at first sight."
Since then, the celebrity couple has been living a good life. But, just like any popular couple in Hollywood, their relationship has been plagued with various rumors and allegations.
In 2019 alone, they faced numerous divorce and pregnancy rumors month after month.
As noted by reports today, there were claims from magazines and tabloids that Portia de Rossi gave Ellen DeGeneres an "ultimatum." It was alleged that the Scandal actress wanted her wife to finally quit the industry for good.
This, reportedly, caused a huge rift between the two since the celebrity talk show host does not want to honor her wife's requests. While the details seemed viable for some, The Ellen Show is still running today. Not to mention, the couple is still in "good terms."
Before 2019 ended, the couple was, yet again, the faces of various publications after Ellen kissed her long-time pal, Jennifer Aniston on air during one interview. It was claimed by sources that Portia then wanted a divorce after witnessing the controversial kiss.
Other sources even attested that the divorce will finally happen considering that the celebrity host has had a huge crush over the Friends actress. Yet again, these rumors were shortly quashed by fans and supporters.
As it happened, Ellen DeGeneres and Jennifer Aniston have been really "good friends" for a long time now. Credible insiders also pointed out that Portia de Rossi understands the situation given that it was all about "curiosity" after Ellen and Howard Stern kissed prior to Jen's interview.
Despite all the proof and evidence that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's marriage has been nothing but, strong and stable, the rumors continued to develop. Even so, the couple seemed to have kept their silence about the issues until recently when the Scandal actress finally vocalized her thoughts.
According to Us Weekly, Ellen and Portia, especially the latter, "opened up" about her interests and passion, including her "love" her wife. When asked about her notions toward the developing rumors, her response became a huge surprise to everyone.
Based on the actress' statements, all of the rumors and speculations, whether good or bad, it all make them feel "accepted," which is great since there is an apparent "acceptance for this."
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi just celebrated their 11th anniversary last August.
