Jennifer Aniston and Charlize Theron both attended the recent 2020 Golden Globe Awards. It was rumored that the two almost clashed during the award show because of one man: Brad Pitt.
Both Aniston and Theron were linked to the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor in the past months. The two actresses also denied the rumors. Jen said she is not dating anyone at the moment while Charlize directly addressed the rumor during her appearance at The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Nonetheless, both actresses continued to be linked to Pitt. The latest rumor was Aniston and Theron, allegedly, clashed at the Golden Globes because of the actor.
According to New Idea, the Friends actress had her worst nightmare at the award show because Theron was also there. The site claimed though Jen has already won Brad back, she still feels threatened especially by the Bombshell actress.
"Brad is still friendly with Charlize and it's something that really irks Jen...So whenever Charlize is around, she watches her like a hawk," a source told the outlet.
New Idea added Jen's worst nightmare is to experience again what happened in the past when Brad left her for another woman. Gossip Cop, however, noted that New Idea's story has no basis at all.
First of all, Jen and Brad are not back together so there is no reason for the actress to feel threatened by another woman. Aniston's spokesperson also confirmed that the actress did not come close to a fight with anyone at the Golden Globes.
Moreover, Aniston and Theron were photographed having a great time together at the show. The Atomic Blonde star's arm was seen around Jen while they posed for a picture with DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi.
Gossip Cop also recalled that prior to the Golden Globe Awards, New Idea claimed a tension between Aniston and Theron at the award show is inevitable because of the Ad Astra actor's presence. Gossip Cop pointed out that instead of acknowledging that Aniston and Theron had a great time at the Golden Globes, the tabloid published another story that suggested the two had a "clash."
It is also worth noting that the story was too focused on Theron while there were other exes of Pitt at the same awards show. Aside from Aniston, Brad's ex-girlfriend Christina Applegate, his ex-fiance Gwyneth Paltrow, and his rumored girlfriend Sienna Miller were also in attendance that night.
