Princess Beatrice will not go for a wedding similar to Princess Eugenie's two years ago. The older York princess, who is set to get married to her Italian fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi this year, will likely have a scaled-down wedding, which might not have live coverage on television.

Royal expert Angela Mollard told Daily Express that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have different personalities. Princess Beatrice will likely turn down suggestions to have her wedding televised because it's not in her personality.

Mollard said that Princess Beatrice is the "more subdued, quieter, more serious, shyer sister," while Princess Eugenie is the outgoing and friendly type. Hence, it was easier for the latter to agree to the broadcast of her wedding to Jack Brooksbank in 2018.

Princess Beatrice shuns the limelight and wants a quiet life. Princess Eugenie showed off her scoliosis scar with her wedding dress and was not shy about talking about this flaw in public.

These observations were brought up by Mollard amid reports that Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the princesses' parents, are trying to arrange a deal with broadcasters for Princess Beatrice's live wedding coverage. Mollard thinks that if Princess Beatrice could have her way, she would be marrying off her fiancé to a quiet villa in Italy without the royal fanfare.

The royal expert also said that Princess Beatrice will want to have a very private wedding now more than ever because of what has been going on with Prince Harry and Meghan. The Sussex royals announced that they would be stepping back from their royal duties as they plan on staying in Canada for half of the year.

Mollard said that security cost for the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan, as well as Princess Eugenie, were from £2 million to £13 million. These expenses have caused quite a public uproar, especially after the Sussexes are quasi giving up on their royal life. Based on her personality, Mollard said that Princess Beatrice would apparently like to avoid these controversies.

Meanwhile, details of Princess Beatrice's wedding remain undisclosed. Speculations are that the royal will have a spring wedding or a date closer to the Royal Ascot in June. However, Buckingham Palace has not yet announced the actual wedding date nor the wedding venue. Princess Beatrice will need to have Queen Elizabeth sign off on her wedding date so as not to disrupt Her Majesty's schedule.
