Beyonce and Jay-Z have an intimidating presence even for Hollywood celebrities, but not to Reese Witherspoon. Being thirsty at the Golden Globe Awards pays off for the actress. Now, she is Beyonce and Jay-Z's newest BFF because of it.
The bond between Queen Bey and Witherspoon started when the latter courageously approached the "Single Ladies" singer and Jay-Z's table and asked the couple for some champagne after their table run out of water during the recent Golden Globe Awards. Reese successfully brought a glass of champagne to their table, as what her The Morning Show co-star, Jennifer Aniston, revealed on Instagram.
A few days later after the event, the power couple sent Witherspoon a vase of flowers and a case of Jay-Z-owned Armand de Brignac Ace of Spades Champagne along with a note that said, "More water, from J & B." Reese shared a video of her and her mother, Betty, tasting the wine. The latter expressed how delicious the wine is while Reese quipped: "Put her in a commercial."
But, Bey and Jay-Z's generosity did not end there. The couple also sent the Big Little Lies actress the entire Ivy Park x Adidas collection. Witherspoon posted on Instagram a video of her receiving a huge orange box.
In the clip, Reese and her mother tried to figure out what could be inside the huge box. The two unboxed it and Reese began modeling outfits from the collection as Bey's "Formation" played in the background.
"Does this officially make me the newest member of the #Beyhive? Thank you, @Beyonce for the #IvyPark swag!" she captioned the video.
Meanwhile, Witherspoon also teased Ellen DeGeneres about her newfound friendship with the Queen herself, Beyonce. In her recent Twitter post, Reese retweeted a Vogue article about her and Beyonce being Hollywood's newest power BFFs. The actress tagged DeGeneres on her tweet to which the host replied, "Oh brother."
It can be recalled that Witherspoon and DeGeneres had a hilarious showdown on who is better friends with Jennifer Aniston. During the Legally Blonde actress' appearance at The Ellen DeGeneres Show in September, she bragged on the TV host that she has a close bond with Oprah and added that she became similarly close with Aniston. Ellen, however, protested and said she is actually closer to Jen than Reese is.
Fans shared their theories on what could DeGeneres do next to even out the field with Witherspoon. One fan hilariously said the Emmy-winning host could now be calling Beyonce for a guesting on her show.
