Shortly after Conor McGregor knocked out Donald Cerrone in a UFC match that lasted only 40 seconds, Floyd Mayweather Jr. took to social media and published that seemed to confirm he is coming out of retirement to fight the MMA superstar. It is also believed the undefeated 42-year-old will do a rematch with Manny Pacquiao.

If the Instagram tease from the American is of any indication, he and McGregor will again meet this 2020, and that will be just one of the big fights that Mayweather has in mind. Another foe he might want to box the second time is Pacquiao.

According to the World Boxing News, these two showdowns involving three superstar ring warriors will be staged within 2020. One fight will likely be scheduled in the summer and the last one before the end of the year, around October or November.

It is expected that any of the fights will be hosted at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas that the same news said will be fully operational by August. It can accommodate up to 72,0000 spectators at any given and Mayweather is hoping to fill up the venue in what will serve as his final battle.

Then win or lose, Mayweather will exit the ring for good but before he does there will be hundreds of millions to make. For the two fights, the Las Vegas native will act as promoter and will be paying his opponents at least $100 million each.

In turn, he stands to make up to $400 million that will be added to the near $1 billion generated by his lucrative fights in the last decade.

As of writing, reports said Team Mayweather is already working on the fight with McGregor. UFC chief Dana White has confirmed that Mayweather has already established formal communications, according to Bleacher Report.

However, there is no mention yet on when the parties will sit down to begin the formal talks. One clarification that likely will be provided soon is how the Mayweather vs McGregor will play out. Will it be a boxing match again or a UFC showdown.

In a post-fight press meet, McGregor confirmed that he's ready to fight against Mayweather when asked on the poster published by the Mayweather camp. In the same way, the Irishman said Pacquiao is also on his list.

"The discussions are always ongoing, they never stop. You know Floyd and going through money fast. So, he's far from retired. That rematch will happen at some stage," Metro reported McGregor as saying.

Pacquiao has no immediate comment on the matter but he had called on Mayweather earlier to face him on a rematch, which he is willing to do anytime. The Filipino boxing icon also welcomed the possibility of slugging with McGregor but only in a serious boxing match.
