WARNING: This article contains spoilers for 9-1-1: Lone Star episode 3. Read at your own risk.

9-1-1: Lone Star episode 3 will air on Fox next week, with the title "Texas Proud." The freshman series, recently, arrived on the network and proved to be an interesting show. Viewers now know where the series is heading, with Rob Lowe's Owen being the center of the story.

In 9-1-1: Lone Star episode 3, Owen is still adjusting and getting used to his new surroundings. He also needs to deal with some issues, especially when it comes to his son, TK. In the synopsis, Judd calls out Owen's' preferential treatment of TK.

Things wouldn't be easy for Owen, and he may find himself struggling with favoritism. He's got an affection for his son, but he also needs to separate his personal and professional relationship with him. Conflicts may arise, and this could be the center of the upcoming episode.

Meanwhile, some of the emergencies in 9-1-1: Lone Star episode 3 include an unusual home intruder and an accident at a grain silo and a steak-eating contest. Also, another rescue video went viral, but this made Marjan felt excluded at her new mosque.

The upcoming episode will also see Owen helping Michelle to find new information about her sister's disappearance. This particular storyline will likely play a huge part most of the season, and the disappearance will probably be revealed before the current installment ends.

As for the ratings, CarterMatt reported the premiere generated a 2.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic and almost 10 million viewers. These numbers were relatively high and, if ever the series will continue generating such ratings, Fox may probably give the show another season.

In another related report, viewers should not expect a 9-1-1: Lone Star and 9-1-1 crossover events -- at least for the time being. In a report via Deadline, executive producer Tim Minear revealed they've already talked about that matter but he's not there yet.

Right now, they are interested in keeping both shows in their own lane. Minear said the spin-off and flagship show complement each other and that they're very different. For now, Fox has high hopes for Lone Star, especially since the premiere did well.

Also, 9-1-1 remains one of the most popular series in the network and there's no indication the show is ending anytime soon. As per CarterMatt, although there are no season 4 renewal updates at the moment, there's a high chance the flagship show will be renewed for another season.

9-1-1: Lone Star episode 3 arrives on Monday, Jan. 27, on Fox.
