Supergirl season 5 episode 11 is arriving on Sunday on The CW, with the title "Back From the Future - Part One." This is an exciting episode as viewers will see Jeremy Jordan returning as Winn Schott. However, some things changed about this character and he's not the same as he once was.
In the synopsis of Supergirl season 5 episode 11, Supergirl is trying to thwart a Toyman copycat. Winn, on the other hand, returns from the future. In the promo, Lex employs a version of Winn and uses the name Toyman. It was previously revealed Winn's father in Earth-38 was Toyman.
Winn will be useful in Supergirl season 5 episode 11, especially since Toyman's copycat version surfaces. Since the original one was his own father, it only makes sense he's returning in the episode. In addition, the character's return gives Kara another ally, which is useful right now.
Moreover, the upcoming episode allows viewers to see what sort of technology Winn's been cooking up. His intelligence in the present was an asset, so he could be doing so much more in the future. There's also an indication that Winn will be quite different in the new episode.
In some of the photos, he's sporting something he never did before -- wearing a mask. Winn has been in the future for some time now, and a few things have likely changed him during his time away. In addition, the events in Crisis on Infinite Earths probably changed him as well.
The crossover event might be over, but it leaves some major changes in the Arrowverse. In Supergirl, the upcoming episode sees Lex trying to draw Winn back to the present. In order to do that, he plans to call in a doppelganger.
Meanwhile, the title already suggests that there's more to this episode, considering that Supergirl season 5 episode 11 is just the first part. So, there's more coming up to this episode, but fans need to wait a little more as CarterMatt noted the series will be off-air for a couple of weeks after this episode.
In another report via Comicbook, Jordan previously shared on social media that he's no longer a series regular on the show. And of the San Diego Comic-Con last summer, the actor also posted on social media and announced he would be returning in the fifth installment.
Supergirl season 5 episode 11 airs on Sunday, Jan. 26, on The CW.
