Barron Trump was just 10 years old when his father, Donald Trump, took an oath of office as the President of the United States. From then on, people are commenting about him even though he is not involved in his father's business or politics.
New speculation about Barron emerged, recently, and, this time around, it is about his height. Some netizens are speculating that Trump could not be the real father of the 13-year-old teen because of the latter's height.
The speculation started when Barron was seen with POTUS and his mother, Melania Trump, when they were about to travel to Florida last week. The president walked alongside his wife and son and many noticed that Barron is already taller than his father. Reports indicated that Barron currently stands around six feet, three inches tall.
Barron is rarely seen in public, hence many were shocked to see how quickly he has grown since his father's inauguration in 2017. Speculations also started flying around that the president may not be the real father of Barron and he could be the child of a Russian basketball player.
Many netizens, however, quickly took to social media to defend Barron. Some said the teen should be left alone as he is still a minor and is not in public office. Another said whether or not Barron is Donald Trump's son, it should be none of everyone's business because it is a personal matter.
"There's plenty to criticize this ridiculous couple for, but this is seriously reaching and quite frankly wrong. Leave Barron alone. He truly seems to be on the spectrum and even if Trump isn't his dad it's no one's business," one wrote on Twitter.
Another netizen, on the other hand, noted that Barron's paternity became a hot issue after the president referred to him as "Melania's son." It has also been reported that POTUS is annoyed by Barron's height.
In Michael Wolff's book, Siege: Trump Under Fire, he mentioned that Barron has been mocked by his father for growing too tall. The author noted that the president has a "fetish" about being the tallest person in the room. Apparently, when Barron was 12 and started a growth spurt, Wolff wrote POTUS joked: "How do I stunt his growth?"
Meanwhile, Barron's height not only sparked paternity rumors, but it also started speculations about his future career. Many believe that he keeps growing, he could be a great NBA "dunker" in the future.
