Red Velvet's Wendy is still recovering from injuries she suffered from her accident, one month after she fell off the stage during rehearsals of SBS' Gayo Daejeon. While fans expect the singer to bounce back soon, reports hint that it may take longer for her to fully recover.

According to a report by All Kpop, Wendy is still in the process of recovering from her injuries but it may take longer for her to rejoin Red Velvet's activities.

It was previously reported that during the December 25 rehearsals for SBS' Gayo Daejeon, Wendy fell 2.5 meters off the stage and suffered from facial, pelvic and wrist injuries. Because the injuries were sustained in sensitive areas, Wendy's recovery could take longer than most injuries.

It can be recalled that SBS came under fire after eyewitness accounts revealed that there was neglect on the part of the production that caused Wendy's fall. The Red Velvet member was reportedly instructed to head towards a platform on stage but there were no markers to indicate that the stairs were missing.

Fans were also outraged to see several idols slip on stage during the actual show and called out the network for endangering the safety of the artists.

Recently, SBS reportedly launched an internal investigation to determine if there was neglect behind Wendy's accident.

Police have also gotten involved in the investigation and have reportedly started their own probe to see if SBS was liable for "negligence causing grievous bodily harm." If found guilty, persons found guilty could be punished by up to 30 days of jail time or a fine. Police are also investigating if SBS violated laws on the requirement for the Disaster Preparedness Plan, another report stated.

Because of the accident, Wendy was forced to sit out promotional activities for Red Velvet's recent comeback album The ReVe finale.

Despite being unable to participate in group activities, Red Velvet's Wendy still showed her love for her team when she surprised Red Velvet's dancers with snacks and handwritten notes while she was still in the hospital.

The dancers shared Wendy's thoughtfulness on social media and said that she was an angel for being so thoughtful.

Red Velvet Joy also shared that Wendy was so excited to perform that day that even after her accident, she refused to let go of the microphone even when she was being taken to the hospital.
