Prince William and Kate Middleton's eldest son, Prince George has now started to take his spotlight on different media platforms. For several months now, he has been the center of Gary Janetti's popular meme account on Instagram. The Family Guy star and writer centers the young prince as a "sassy commentator" to the Royal Family's "exploits" in recent years.
With its popularity among fans, especially royal followers, the meme account was recently revealed to be turned into an animated comedy series. HBO confirmed its order as per Town And Country magazine.
Based on claims made by various publications, the animated series will be known as The Prince. Just like Gary Janetti's meme account, the series will center its plot on Prince George, especially his "own points of view" toward the British Royal Family.
The characters will mainly include the future King's sister, Princess Charlotte, his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, his "modern" aunt and uncle, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, his grandparents, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, and, of course, his great grandparents, Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II. The cast will also include a royal butler to the young prince's character, who will be voiced by Alan Cumming.
According to Vanity Fair, the voice actors are all British. This will include Orlando Bloom, Iwan Rheon, Condola Rashad, Lucy Punch, Tom Hollander, and Frances de la Tour. As for Prince George, the character will be voiced by Gary Janetti.
The publication further stated that HBO's descriptions about the "forthcoming series" is that it will be "biting" and "satirical." It will also revolve around the Prince George's navigations through the "trials and tribulations" of being the youngest heir to the throne.
It was not disclosed, though, as to when the series will arrive on the platform. Even so, the project is already on set with the network, along with Gary Janetti's other documentary series with HBO Max.
In a similar headline published by Express UK, the upcoming series was said to involve huge issues and controversies surrounding the monarchy and the family. One of which was said to touch the most recent update about the "bombshell" Megxit deal.
While royal watchers and followers are now looking forward to witnessing what the satire comedy series has to offer, no word has been heard from the members of the Royal Family. Some are convinced that this will get the attention of the Palace. Others, however, take it as a "not so-huge matter" that the royals would need to comment on.
