As the Megxit controversy continues to develop, Kate Middleton and Prince William were now reportedly back to their usual duties as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. It was claimed by royal experts and commentators that the support of the general public has become much more apparent recently after the "bombshell" announcement initiated by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

According to People, the Sussex couple's decision to finally step back from their royal duties as senior members of the family became a very controversial matter, not only in the United Kingdom's monarchy, government, and public but, also to the rest of the world. So, it is not surprising why the direct members of the Royal Family would be much more affected after the official statements were released from Buckingham Palace.

Despite what the general reception was, royal expert and commentator, Katie Nicholl recently shared with some magazines that it is now "business as usual" for the British Royal Family. This has become much more evident when Kate Middleton and Prince William "stepped out" for their first royal engagement of the year.

Last week, it was reported that the future King and Queen went to the West Yorkshire city as per BBC. The engagement was said to be a "visit" to the Cambridge couple's projects that "promote cohesion" in the city given that it is one of the United Kingdom's "most diverse cities."

Other publications claimed that Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived and received "cheers" from hundreds of people in Centenary Square. This was deemed by Katie Nicholl as the "huge boost" given to the royal couple.

Based on claims, this kind of "warm reception" from the general public only shows how they are still successful in keeping the Royal Family "united" in the eyes of the public. This is a "tried-and-tested-approach," and it is a "success," she added.

As added by Express UK, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, once again, showed a "united front" during their weekend engagement inside the Buckingham Palace. The event was revealed to be a reception hosted mainly by the couple inside the palace for the world leaders of Africa following the UK-Africa Investment Summit in London.

It was also shared by the same publication that Kate Middleton and Prince William were joined by other members of the Royal Family including Princess Anne and the Countess of Wessex.

For their future engagements, no word has been shared yet about the matter. Even so, many are convinced that the Cambridge couple's "plate" will be much fuller this time now that they are all in the "transition phase" amid the Megxit controversy.
