Still unable to play as he awaits the trade deals that the Grizzlies are cooking up, NBA champ Andre Iguodala sees his current inactivity as a form of blessing. When vacation time is over, the former Warriors star has the luxury of picking his next team and possibly included in the menu are the Lakers and the Clippers.

One thing is sure for the one-time Finals MVP, he will soon be out of Memphis, and there is a chance he might just end up donning the Purple & Gold or that of the other LA club. Whichever direction he heads next, there is no denying Iguodala is wanted and specifically by both the Lakers and the Clippers, which happen to be chasing an NBA title.

In a recent interview, Iguodala was put on the spot when asked which of the two NBA giants he would prefer playing for. Fadeaway World, the celebrated sixth man dropped a smart answer and it's hardly a surprise.

"It's picking your poison. I mean, you know, in terms of you having the poison and you being able to shoot that whichever way you want against your opponent," Iggy was reported as saying.

Essentially, the three-time NBA champion opted to highlight the key strengths of both clubs and expounded on how each can leverage these qualities to achieve the goal of taking the 2020 Larry O'Brien trophy.

What favors the Lakers is the depth of the bench, meaning the team has ready access to talents, and it's only a matter of employing these tools to achieve the goal of capturing an NBA crown. For his part, Iguodala can contribute to the cause with his superb operation in the wing and his ability to bring up the ball and take it where it counts most.

It also helps that Iguodala has been in five NBA Finals in a row, which is an experience that LeBron James and Anthony Davis will want the rest of the club to get infected with.

The Clippers, on the other hand, have an overload of firepower. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George get ample support from the bench, and it's obvious that the team is wanting on star-power, Iguodala observed.

Where he plays next, according to Iguodala, is not the most important thing right now. It is his readiness to suit up anytime, and he is, Iggy said.

According to Bleacher Report, Iguodala is convinced he is in good shape despite not seeing playtime so far in the ongoing season.

"I'm ready to get back on the court," Iguodala insisted.

And it was firmly established that when Iguodala returns, he is looking to wear the jersey of a team that will likely figure in the 2020 NBA Finals, which just might be the case as the report added that aside from the Lakers and Clippers more teams in contention, such as the Mavericks and the Rockets, are looking to land the veteran before the February 6 deadline.
