Melania Trump's social media accounts never get boring because of her followers. Whether they are her avid fans or detractors, these individuals have always something to say about the First Lady of the United States.

Earlier this week, the whole world was shocked upon learning the death of Kobe Bryant and her 14-year-old daughter, Gianna. Aside from the two personalities, there were also other seven passengers, who lost their lives due to a helicopter crash, including the pilot.

As one of the key figures in the United States, the President's wife expressed her condolences and concerns to the families of the victims through a post on her Twitter account. While Melania Trump seemingly meant nothing but to express her sentiments over the unfortunate event, she was slammed by netizens because of this.

According to Express UK, the First Lady was deemed "cold-hearted" because of her message. Several netizens pointed out that her brief note for the family of the victims was not sincere enough.

As tweeted, "thoughts and prayers" to the Bryant family, and "those who lost loved ones" today. She then ended her tweet with "Rest In Peace."

Although many of her followers responded with quick prayers and "amen," her detractors thought that the message itself was "thoughtless." Others even claimed that the message was "frosty."

Many of the critics also said that Melania Trump should "save her thoughts" instead for the man who is in the oval. There were also those who alleged that she did not write the tweet. Rather, it was written for her by her private secretary.

These are only some of the criticisms she obtained after sharing her message. Unfortunately, there are a lot more. Even so, several publications also reported that her fans and supporters continued to defend her, especially during that time when the whole world was mourning. Some even got mad for disrespecting, not only Melania Trump but, the families of the victims as well.

In a scoop made by Business Insider, this was not the only time when Melania got criticized over Kobe Bryant's death. As it happened, Donald Trump also shared a statement about the loss of one of the NBA's legends, and of the other victims.

While the president's message was much longer than his wife's, several netizens reportedly noticed that it was similar to Barack Obama's. Accordingly, the criticisms continued to rush in. But, instead of slamming Donald Trump, the focus was shifted to the First Lady since it involved the issue of plagiarism.
